About me

Hello! Welcome to my new adventure!

If you ask my husband what I do well, and what I do frequently, he will tell you, hands down, shopping. I spend a lot of time shopping, and it seems like I’m always coming home with something new or having something new delivered. Not necessarily mall-shopping, mind you (I actually really detest malls now that I’m no longer 15 years old). It’s mostly online window-shopping, and I can online window-shop without buying anything for hours upon hours. I plan to share the fruits of my “labor” with you, my 3 readers (hi Mom!), so that you do not have to spend hours upon hours shopping yourself.

I have a vision for what I want to share with you. Within my first few posts I plan to share how I pack 2 weeks’ worth of crap into a carry-on that meets both international and domestic standards. I also plan to share my favorite items for surviving that long-haul flight. You’ll probably see plenty of home decor type items, not all of which you can actually buy for yourself (sorry), and if I’m lucky, you’ll get to see the items I pick out for a kitchen remodel. I love to read, so occasionally I will share a book or author with you. I would also like to share some of my favorite local stores for those of you in the Minneapolis area. I will NOT share my political or religious views on this blog, as shopping is an equal-opportunity sport.

I think you’ve probably been able to deduce quite a bit about me just from those two paragraphs, but I’ll give you the rundown anyway. I live in a teeny tiny house just outside of Minneapolis, MN with my (amazing, fantastic, handsome, forgiving) husband and 2 little yippy dogs. I work at a large bank in a project management-type field (obligatory “my words are my own and are not the opinion of my employer” disclosure here). I love to travel, shop, and read. I am an introvert and a homebody by nature, as is my husband, but when we travel we have grand adventures and don’t stay in one place for long.

Anyway, enough about me. Happy shopping!
